Blue River Cabin Nestled in the Pines with Private Hot Tub and Gas Fire Pit

When you dream of your Colorado Mountain family vacation, this cabin in the woods is as far as you need to look! 

Whether you want to spend the day on the slopes in the winter or hike a 14er or many popular trails in the summer, coming home to our cabin will be a highlight and have you dreaming of the next time you can come back, stay, and play. 

Located only 3 miles out of historic downtown Breckenridge and its world-class Breckenridge Ski Resort, you can enjoy the town and its many popular Eateries and Boutique Shops and at the end of a day of play, leave the crowds behind and head home to Blue River and our cabin surrounded by pines and views of the mountains. 

You can park up to 3 cars in the driveway or take advantage of the free bus transit system, The Summit Stage Blue River Route.

The open floor plan allows you to gather together or spread out and rest, relax, and recharge. Sit by the gas wood burner in the living room staring into the flames or feel the warmth of the heat from the burner in the kitchen and dining room as well. 

The living room has large picture windows that allow the high-elevation sunshine to pour in while you look at the pines and bluebird sky. There is plenty of seating on-the-cozy large L-couch while you stream your personal apps on the flat-screen TV. 

Gather at the dining table that seats 8, for family meals or grab a quick bite while sitting at the kitchen island. 

The kitchen is fully equipped with almost anything you will need to create a feast and you have the bonus of a large gas grill on the deck. You simply need to bring your food and favorite beverages. 

Throughout most of the year, the large deck will become another living space for you to enjoy with Adirondack chairs surrounding a gas-flamed fire pit. Take advantage of the gas grill and of course, soak in the private hot tub under the starry skies. There is even a wall-mounted TV for your pleasure.

Important info for self-check-in: After booking you will get a confirmation email from our company, journeywestcolorado. In this email, we mention one future email you will be sent, 3 days before your arrival date. Please plan to check your inbox, or spam/trash folder, before heading our way for these emails.
The email is called Arrival Information, which provides directions and instructions (codes) you will need to access your unit upon arrival.

Cars cannot be left on the property before check-in or after check-out.

Check-in time is 4 pm or later, and check-out time is by 10 am (with a small checkout procedure list to complete). There will be an $80 per hour charge if you are not out on time. Please plan to leave by 10 AM so we can prepare for the next guest.

House Rules: A $500.00 fine and/or eviction with no refund may immediately result from violations of these rules.
You must be 25 years or older to make a reservation.

No Parties - you are staying in a quiet neighborhood, please help keep it that way. 
Quiet Hours 10 pm - 7 am (Blue River local mandate)
No shoes in the house. There is a large entry to leave them when you enter.
No trash should be left outside. This is bear country! There is a bear-proof trash bin provided out front of the house.
We are on a Septic System so nothing but toilet paper down the toilet, please. 

Note: Our cabin does not have AC so open the windows and screened doors and let the cool mountain air in! Fans are provided for days when the sun warms the cabin.

Note: People with severe dog allergies might not do well here as the owner will have their dog between guest visits. 
Note: Your safety matters. This property features 3 exterior-only security cameras. Camera 1 is a Ring Doorbell located at the front of the cabin. facing towards the front yard. Camera 2 is located on the front of the cabin facing toward the front yard. Camera 3 is located on the back side of the cabin facing toward the deck area. The cameras do not face the interior of the cabin. The cameras are not turned on to record video or sound. 

The private hot tub at this property is serviced before and after each guest, so it will be clean and ready to go for you. Please shower before using the tub, and do not allow happy people to splash the water out.  We don’t mean to be party poopers but, if we must adjust the chemicals due to dirty sweaty bodies, sun lotion, spilled drinks, or if the water level gets low and has to be refilled, you will be charged the costs of correcting these issues.

All trash must be removed at the end of your stay, in addition to a few other simple tasks in our Departure checklist, which you will find in our Welcome Book. Failure to complete this simple list will result in a charge of $49, or more. 

Mail/packages cannot be sent to this address. We are unable to receive anything for you ahead of your arrival.  You cannot drop off luggage/gear before check-in, and cannot leave them after checkout. Please plan your visit accordingly.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 5 or more days before arrival will receive a full refund. If local activities/resorts/venues/amenities (like pools & hot tubs) have been canceled or closed, this is beyond our control and will not provide an exception to our Cancellation Policy. Neither will Illness, weather, road closures or canceled flights be just cause for a refund beyond this policy. Upon check-in, you are responsible for all nights reserved.
